A global financial technology company is looking for an established ER Director to join the function. Working closely with Stakeholders, Legal and HR Business Partners, you will develop and leverage best practice from an ER perspective in order to enable a culture aligned with the company values.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as a trusted advisor to People Business Partners, managers and employees by providing expert guidance on company policies, processes and best‑practice approaches to people matters.
* Partner closely with internal employment counsel, compliance teams and People Business Partners to effectively manage complex employee relations cases and investigations.
* Lead thorough, fair and timely investigations into workplace concerns, including allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other employee‑related issues.
* Produce high‑quality investigative documentation, including detailed interview notes, case summaries and clear findings that support sound decision‑making.
* Maintain accurate, organised and compliant records, ensuring all investigation and reorganisation documentation is properly tracked and stored.
* Manage cases end‑to‑end using the case management system, from initial intake through to resolution and follow‑up.
* Deliver insightful reporting to senior stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships across functions, levels and geographies to drive alignment and foster a culture of trust and accountability.
* Provide expert ER guidance across the UK, Ireland and Europe, advising People Business Partners and managers on topics such as performance management, M&A and TUPE, disciplinary processes, absence management and risk mitigation in employment terminations.
* Collaborate with functions to ensure investigations, outcomes and recommendations are consistent, compliant and aligned with organisational values.
* Translate data into meaningful insights that inform process improvements, strengthen organisational culture and reinforce the organisation's values in everyday practice.
Required Skills:
* Experience operating within global, matrix environments.
* Deep ER experience and strong understanding of UK, Ireland and EU employment law.
* Experience advising on a broad range of employee relations issues.
* Strong investigation skills.
