HR Consultant – Hybrid Northampton
Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm
Location: Northampton, hybrid (home‑based with travel to clients)
Benefits: 25 days holiday, pension, sick pay
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering effective HR strategies that support performance and business growth
* Building strong and trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders
* Managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, development and succession planning
* Providing expert employee relations advice and coaching managers through complex cases
* Ensuring compliance with employment law, policies and regulatory requirements
* Using HR metrics and data to support decision making
* Supporting organisational development initiatives alongside the Head of HR
* Managing disciplinary matters, grievances and flexible working applications
* Conducting fair and thorough investigations when required
Requirements
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (Level 7 preferred)
* Five to ten years' experience in a similar HR role
* Proven background as a Senior HR Generalist
* Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for client visits
* Quick thinker with the ability to step into HR Advisor duties under pressure
* Strategic mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
* Confident in conflict resolution, influencing and using data to support decisions
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a fast‑moving team
