About the role:

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced FE Equine Course Manager to join our Equine Department at our York campus. This permanent, part-time role is for three days a week.

We are looking for an individual who will take responsibility for delivering and managing the teaching of our Level 3 Equine learners, including providing academic and pastoral support. A strong background in the equine industry, particularly in practical equine skills, will be highly beneficial.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interactions within the teaching environment. With a deep subject knowledge, practical experience, and a passion for teaching, the successful candidate will inspire and motivate learners to achieve their potential.

Candidates should be educated to degree level or above in a relevant field and hold a recognised teaching qualification. A solid understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of the equine industry is essential. Additionally, holding a BHS Stage 3 in Complete Horsemanship or above would be advantageous.

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Gateshead.
