HGV Class 1 Driver (Vehicle Transport & Plant) Location: Westbury Salary: £41,727 per annum basic (based on 55 hours per week at £14.59 Monday-Friday rate) Hours: 55 hours per week | Operating window between 04:00-22:00 ISQ Recruitment is partnering with a leading commercial vehicle dealer group to recruit an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for their Westbury operation. This is a specialist role requiring experience in vehicle transporters, abnormal loads, and plant machinery movements. The successful candidate must also be comfortable with regular overnight stays away from home, as the role will involve nationwide deliveries. The Role As HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and compliant transportation of commercial vehicles and plant machinery to customer sites across the UK. You will operate Class 1 vehicles, including transporters, and manage abnormal loads under STGO CAT 1 and CAT 2 regulations. This position requires strong technical driving capability, regulatory awareness, and a professional approach when representing major commercial vehicle brands. Overnight stays will form part of the role, therefore flexibility and willingness to work away from home when required is essential.
