About The Organisation
National Services Scotland (NSS) is a national NHS Board operating right at the heart of NHS Scotland, providing invaluable support and advice at strategic and operational levels. NSS supports customers to deliver their services more efficiently and effectively, offering shared services on a national scale using best-in-class systems and standards. Our priority is to improve the health and well-being of the people of Scotland by working in partnership with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions and systems, enabling stakeholders to re-invest resources into essential services.
The Post
The NHS Scotland Scan for Safety (SfS) Programme was established by NSS in 2021. During 2022, a legislative requirement was introduced for all UK health and care providers to collect data related to devices used in patient care, initially focusing on implantable devices. This high-profile programme involves engagement at all levels across NHS Scotland.
The Data Support Manager will join an established team passionate about transforming services to improve healthcare for Scottish citizens. The role is crucial in ensuring core data collection to support the implementation of Point of Care (PoC) scanning as part of the national Inventory Management System rollout. The manager will contribute significantly to shaping this wide-ranging programme of transformational change.
