Continuous Improvement Officer Role Details : Location: Broughton (full time onsite) Hours: 35 per week (4.5-day week between 7am–7pm) Duration: Contract until 31/12/2026 (likely extension) Pay: £19.54 ph PAYE holiday pay OR £26.14 ph Umbrella Morson is currently recruiting Continuous Improvement officer on behalf of our aerospace manufacturing client, to support operational excellence at their Broughton facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly skilled production environment, driving business improvement through Lean principles. Working alongside the production management team, you will coach and facilitate improvement activities rooted in right-first-time, Lean, problem solving, continuous improvement (Kaizen) and robust quality standards. This is a hands-on role within an established wing manufacturing facility, offering the chance to influence culture, enhance performance, and drive meaningful change. Key Responsibilities Implement and enhance the internal operating system boards and routines with operational teams. Train, coach and deliver awareness sessions to frontline leaders, technicians and operators. Lead and participate in structured management “go-look-see” activities, providing clear and constructive feedback. Measure and report the operating systems maturity, including KPIs, activities and self-assessments. Co-facilitate OS workshops and contribute to industrial assessments. Support the creation of OS / MES roadmaps and Tactical Implementation Plans (TIPs). Identify deviations from standards and recommend improvements. Share good practices and collaborate with fellow OS Agents across the wider organisation. Skills & Experience Strong understanding of OS standards, operational excellence and Lean / Six Sigma principles. Ability to tutor OS bricks and MES usage, adapting coaching style to suit different audiences. Confident in delivering structured feedback on routine management and performance dialogue. Practical understanding of change management and the ability to facilitate behavioural shifts. Experience identifying improvement opportunities through self-assessment and applying simple, effective recommendations. Process-driven background highly desirable; experience over formal qualifications is acceptable.
