Job Title: Management Accountant – Decking Division
Location: Scunthorpe
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm
Accountable to: Financial Controller
Role
The role of Management Accountant is to provide effective support to the Financial Controller, be an integral part of the finance function, maintain financial policies and management information systems.
Mandatory Responsibilities
1. Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.

6. Ensure compliance with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and IR35 regulations, including appropriate treatment of subcontractors and off-payroll workers

Detailed job description
8. Preparation of monthly management accounts for several operating units, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Fixed Asset Register.
9. Variance Analysis - Budget and Forecast.
10. Produce quality sales analysis and deliver to Stakeholders.
11. Conducting profitability analysis by division, brand or project.
12. Month end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary.
13. Managing stock across various hubs and support in stock takes.
14. Liaise with other finance departments as necessary both inter division and group.
15. Ensure that accruals cost have been posted and variances explained.
16. Ensure that all stock and material entries have been processed.
17. Actively pursue resolution of any system issues.
18. Provide budgetary input for capital expenditure.
19. Input and preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
20. Year End tasks - Liaise with auditors – processing schedules and analysis as required.
21. Preparation of the year end accounts pack.
22. Responsibility for supervision and development of direct reports.

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications
32. Ideally newly qualified CIMA, ACCA, QBE.
33. High proficiency in Excel.
34. Navision/Business Central experience preferred but not essential.
35. Good Microsoft office applications knowledge.
36. Clear, confident communication skills – able to engage with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
37. Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work well in a team.
