We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated
Commercial Finance Analyst / Manager
to play a key role in their commercial finance function. This is a pivotal position that will support the Head of Commercial Finance and CFO, working across a range of strategic and operational areas.
You'll partner with cross-functional teams, deliver insightful financial analysis, support forecasting and budgeting processes, and contribute to exciting strategic projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, multi-channel retail environment and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Partnering:
Collaborate with commercial and trading teams to provide regular and ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and insights to drive sustainable decision-making.
* Systems & Reporting:
Develop and implement system improvements and reporting tools to automate workflows and enhance data accessibility and analysis.
* Budgeting & Forecasting:
Support the planning cycle through scenario modelling and forecasting to deliver actionable insights into business performance.
* Strategic Projects:
Support and lead commercial finance initiatives, including M&A evaluations, new market entry, and business development opportunities.
* Business Case Development:
Build robust financial models, deliver board-level papers, and support due diligence processes for strategic decision-making.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical mindset
* Advanced Excel skills (essential)
* Experience with Power BI; knowledge of ERP systems like Epicor, and tools like Python/SQL (desirable)
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
* Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
* Experience in retail, supply chain, or consumer-facing businesses (advantageous)
* Willingness to be based in the Rackheath Head Office a minimum of 4 days per week
