Contract: 3-Month Contract
Rate: £230-£280 per day (depending on experience)

Role Overview
Bristol City Council is seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to manage Housing Condition (Disrepair) Claims in partnership with Legal Services. The role focuses on investigating claims thoroughly, overseeing remedial works, and resolving cases efficiently to minimise litigation while meeting tenant expectations and maintaining legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage disrepair complaints received as legal claims, working closely with Bristol City Council Legal Services.
2. Carry out detailed property inspections and diagnose defects relating to housing condition claims.
3. Coordinate, monitor, and oversee remedial works delivered by trade teams and external contractors from start to completion.
4. Ensure works are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
5. Maintain clear and professional communication with tenants, managing expectations throughout each case.
6. Produce detailed written reports for each disrepair case.
