About The Role
Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Depot Manager for our reactive Traffic Management workstream based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. The Depot Manager is responsible for all activities within the depot, ensuring that the Assistant Manager is trained in the role and that the contractual terms for our client are adhered to. As a Depot Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day activities in the depot, liaising with the Regional Manager to ensure client KPI’s are met and the depot operates in a profitable, safe manner.
Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire
Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm)
Salary: £43,000 per annum
Responsibilities
* To supervise all operatives to ensure a high standard of work is maintained
* Ensure all 12D paperwork is completed legibly and returned to the relevant department
* Perform site-specific checks on all site setups that have been carried out that week to ensure safety and compliance
* Ensure depot is clean and staff welfare facilities are in working order
* Responsible for daily form checks on vehicle locks, vehicle checks and defects
* Ensure all daily vehicle checks are completed
* Ensure the completion of a site audit per team per month, working with the Operations Manager to ensure LRQA compliance
* Ensure 24/7 call out service is always available via the rota system already agreed
* Deliver team compliance briefs with the Operations Manager and contribute to monthly/bimonthly team briefs
* Ensure the depot remains compliant with customer KPI’s and that SLAs are met
* Management of on hire / off hire and MOS bookings
* Cover all shifts out of hours and standby
* Maintain up-to-date rosters and approve timesheets
* Work with the operations team to recruit staff and ensure appropriate training
* Attend client site visits and complete site surveys
* Maintain good working relationships with clients
* Handle HR issue file notes or investigations as required
Experience And Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
* Confident with systems and processes
* Experience in leading and supervising a team
* NRSWA accreditation
* LANTRA 12ABCD
* Knowledge of permit schemes
