Ward Clerk - The Caludon Centre - Sherbourne PICU Ward

We are looking to recruit a Ward Clerk at The Caludon Centre to support our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on one of our Acute Mental Health In-patient Male Wards.
The post-holder will work as part of an integrated, skill-mixed team, providing effective administrative support mainly to the Ward Manager and ward staff.

Main duties of the job
We seek individuals with a positive attitude who can build effective working relationships and are flexible in their approach. You should be capable of multitasking and working autonomously, as well as collaboratively within a team.
Computer skills are essential, as duties include data entry, collating information, ordering equipment and supplies, managing messages, emailing, scanning documents, maintaining patient records, tracking records, and managing post and deliveries. Full training will be provided for systems such as Carenotes, Loop, and Tracking.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Good general education (e.g., GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above)
* Strong communication and customer care skills, both written and verbal, demonstrating empathy and compassion
* Professional handling of inquiries from staff, service users, and stakeholders
* Understanding of confidentiality principles and their application in daily work
* Attention to detail, even amidst interruptions
* Willingness and ability to travel to multiple sites
* Ability to work effectively and flexibly within a team to meet service needs
