Are you passionate about helping every pupil feel included, valued, and supported in their learning? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Inclusion Support professional to work within a welcoming and inclusive school setting in Derby DE1.
This Inclusion Support role is ideal for individuals who have experience working with pupils with additional needs, barriers to learning, or those requiring targeted interventions. As part of the school’s inclusion team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring pupils receive the right emotional, educational, and social support to thrive.
If you have a background in SEN, behaviour support, youth work, pastoral care or a strong passion for supporting vulnerable learners, this Inclusion Support position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted Inclusion Support to pupils who require additional help with learning or behaviour.
* Assist with personalised interventions, mentoring, and emotional support.
* Work 1:1 or with small groups to encourage engagement and positive learning habits.
* Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and pastoral staff to deliver effective support strategies.
* Promote inclusion, well-being, and confidence across the school.
* Help maintain a calm, nurturing, and safe learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience in Inclusion Support, SEN, behaviour mentoring, youth work, or similar roles.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
* Ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
* Commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting positive outcomes.
