This role within CAMHS aims to develop the role of Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) in the Mental Health Support Team (MHST). It represents an opportunity for clinicians who have knowledge and experience in using evidence-based low intensity interventions to develop their careers and support the development of this new, exciting service for young people and their families.
Eligibility: Candidates must have either completed a Post Graduate Diploma for Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) or have a commitment to undertake and complete the Post Graduate Diploma for Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) while in post.
Contract: Fixed term 1 year, permanent role at end of 1 year subject to completion of training.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, develop, and support EMHPs to provide guided self‑help, low intensity, brief, evidence‑based CBT and deliver groups and training.
* Work closely with senior colleagues to screen and triage all referrals.
* Highlight areas of need within the new teams and help to develop the service and create quality improvement plans in collaboration with senior colleagues.
* Hold a small caseload in agreement with their supervisor.
