We’re looking for an experienced and friendly hands-on Maintenance Manager with excellent technical skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to deliver flawless service to join our team.
The Role
As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient maintenance operations up to hotel brand standards, providing excellent guest experiences, and achieving 100% guest satisfaction.
Your key duties will include:
1. Managing the maintenance service and team by planning and allocating work duties to ensure productivity, room availability, and guest satisfaction.
2. Leading by example through participating in hands-on maintenance tasks as appropriate and acting as the point of contact for maintenance-related jobs.
3. Reporting and logging any maintenance defects found in rooms and assigned areas.
4. Managing stock control and the maintenance of equipment efficiently.
5. Inspecting guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards.
6. Coordinating efforts between Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Front Office.
7. Documenting and resolving issues with discrepant rooms, and managing room assignments.
8. Assisting management with training, scheduling, and following all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; reporting safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and completing safety training and certifications.
9. Developing positive working relationships with colleagues, listening, and responding appropriately to concerns.
10. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and using computers or POS systems for work-related information.
11. Working with the Operations Manager to uphold health, safety, and security practices, including overseeing emergency procedures.
What We Need From You
Previous experience in Facilities Management, with relevant knowledge or qualifications (e.g., H&S, legionella, plumbing, electrical). A commitment to delivering exceptional guest service, with good communication and organizational skills. A positive, flexible attitude and a good command of English are essential.
