Wrapping Machine Operator
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, alternating shifts (am - pm, pm - am)
Location:
Carlisle, Church Street, Cumbria, CA TG

Role Objectives:
Wrapping Machine Minders are responsible for product quality and process delivery, working closely with supervisors to meet production targets. Tasks include operating machinery, performing quality checks, and maintaining safety standards. Flexibility and good communication are essential. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform pre-start checks
* Maintain product quality and specifications
* Understand and set up equipment and machinery
* Complete changeovers and re-work procedures
* Adjust machinery for consistency
* Accurate documentation
* Maintain safety standards
* Conduct shift handovers
* Train peers and new staff
* Basic troubleshooting and maintenance
* Understand daily production planning
* Communicate issues effectively
Environment:
Fast-paced, noisy, warm factory environment.
Experience Required:
Essential: Basic numeracy and literacy, manual dexterity, communication, problem recognition, teamwork, initiative, positive attitude.
Desirable: Previous manufacturing experience, knowledge of HACCP, understanding KPIs.
