Mission of the position
The Team Leader oversees daily operations within the team(s). Responsibilities include ensuring tests run smoothly, maintaining health and safety, ensuring quality and process standards, meeting targets on time, and motivating and developing team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead testing teams performing various testing tasks with different equipment, ensuring timely completion of assignments.
* Conduct onboard testing for multiple test trains before release, troubleshooting, quality control, tuning, and complex repairs, collaborating with production supervisors.
* Accurately fill test reports, adjustments, and job information in line with company policies, supporting quality and process improvements, and mentoring team members.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities
* Act as First Aider and Fire Marshal; seek process improvements; ensure equipment maintenance and availability; report damages; support other teams and management; maintain a clean and safe work area.
* Implement lean production activities; organize and communicate job expectations; monitor team performance to meet objectives; ensure proper record-keeping; coordinate resources efficiently; ensure machinery is operated and maintained correctly.
* Conduct team briefings and toolbox talks; assess team competence and training needs.
Required Professional Experience
NVQ Level 3 or Modern Apprenticeship in a related field. Full job description available upon request.
