This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing roofing and cladding contractor delivering commercial and industrial projects across the UK.
The company is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance across all of its sites and is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to support and strengthen its safety culture across the business.
Based at the companys Lichfield office, this role offers a varied working environment with a mix of office and site-based responsibilities.
What we need from you as a Health & Safety Coordinator:
* Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within a construction or similar environment
* At least 3 years experience producing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
* NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) is preferred
* Strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and compliance
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload
* Confident communicator, able to work with employees at all levels
* Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
* Good IT skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A good head for heights and willingness to work on-site when required
* Full clean UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle (insured for business use)
What the role involves:
You will be responsible for supporting Health & Safety across all projects, including:
* Writing and reviewing RAMS for all projects
* Carrying out risk assessments, site inspections, and audits
* Identifying hazards and implementing control measures
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedure
* Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses
* Delivering Health & Safety training and toolbox talks
* Supporting managers and staff with best practice and safe working procedures
* Liaising with external bodies and regulatory authorities
* Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture across the business
Salary: £29,000 per year, depending on experience.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, 40 hours per week. This role is office and site-based, with occasional home working available where appropriate. Hours may vary dependant on site visits.
