Overview
Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner role at NSFT Jobs in the West Suffolk Mental Health Support Team (MHST), based in Bury St Edmunds. MHSTs are based within education settings to ensure children and young people receive faster access to earlier mental health support. You will be one of the key senior clinicians in this service and will work across education settings.

Responsibilities
* Supervise Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) during their training and beyond, and directly deliver evidence-based interventions to support children and young people referred to the service.
* Utilise CBT and child and adolescent mental health practice; implement whole school/college approaches to mental health through collaboration and coproduction with the school/college community.
* Provide a high-quality service to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties through early intervention and timely support.
Training / Course
You will undertake the year-long Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision of Low Intensity CBT with Children & Young People. The course is delivered by the University of East Anglia (UEA) and consists of online teaching with six in-person teaching days at UEA in Norwich, plus self-directed study and supervised practice in the MHST.
Qualifications
* Background in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, or with two+ years post-qualification experience as EMHP, PWPs, or CWPs, with relevant qualifications and skills in children and adolescent mental health.
* Experience and competency in CBT and child and adolescent mental health practice.
