Teacher of English – Maternity Cover

We require a Teacher of English for September/October 2026 to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, keen to develop leadership skills in the English Faculty at Lord Grey and will have excellent subject knowledge.
Responsibilities
* Teach English at Key Stage 3 and 4 and, if appropriate, in the Sixth Form.
* Deliver high quality lessons that raise standards for all students.
* Contribute to the development of the English courses currently offered.
* Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of high expectations.
* Participate in lesson observations and formal interviews as part of the selection process.

* Strong commitment to teaching and learning in English.
* Effective classroom practitioner with a drive to motivate colleagues and students.
