We are looking for a Support worker to join our team, working in our Ofsted Registered Children's home in Calne, Wiltshire.
Base pay range

The Role
No two days are the same. This role requires someone who is kind, confident, clear-headed and who will remain calm. You’ll receive all the training you need to do the role as well as ongoing training to expand your skills and deepen your knowledge and you’ll have the option to undertake a qualification if you wish to.
All our homes are staffed 24 hours a day, so you'll be working a shift which is 16.5 hours, and the typical pattern is 2 days on and 4 days off. On average, you'll be working a minimum of 9 x 16.5 hr shifts per month.
OTE salary is £33,950.40, along with a £400 welcome bonus.

Essential Requirements
* Eligible to work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship)
* Over 21 years old
* Full driving license and use of a vehicle with business insurance

Responsibilities
* Ensure the safety & wellbeing of the children and young people and report safeguarding concerns quickly and appropriately
* Work within the company’s policies and procedures including safeguarding and the home’s Statement of Purpose
* Keep the welfare and safety of children/vulnerable adults as paramount in working practice
* Know and implement the requirements of the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations within the residential setting
* Participate in day-to-day operation of the service and create a “normal” environment for our children and young people
* Deliver, review and monitor objectives in care plans, behaviour management, education and health plans to promote positive outcomes
* Develop and follow support plans and assessments, including risk assessments as required
* Work directly with children and young people to support development of personal, social, health and educational needs
* Support and encourage engagement in a range of positive activities
* Promote equality and diversity and ensure a non-discriminatory culture
* Safeguarding: comply with robust safer recruitment procedures and appropriate screening prior to appointment
