About the Role
FM Conway is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead mechanical maintenance activities at our brand-new asphalt manufacturing plant in Wellingborough. This full-time, permanent role offers training, development and long-term career progression.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for a skilled fitter or maintenance engineer looking to step into a leadership role within a well-established infrastructure business.
Responsibilities
* Lead maintenance activities to maximise plant uptime and efficiency
* Plan and deliver preventative, reactive and predictive maintenance
* Supervise and support the engineering team and contractors on site
* Carry out fault finding, repairs and installation work across plant equipment
* Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, including LOTOTO procedures
* Manage maintenance records, inspections and support CMMS systems
* Liaise with site teams to prioritise and deliver engineering requirements
* Mentor and develop apprentices and wider team members
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced engineer with a background in asphalt, aggregates or a similar heavy industrial environment. You will have strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, good fault‑finding ability and a solid understanding of health and safety practices. Previous experience leading or supervising a team is essential, along with a proactive and organised approach. A relevant engineering qualification and full UK driving licence are required.
