Transport Planner (GB) Location: AnwickDepartment: LogisticsReports to: Transport Planning Manager About the Role We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Transport Planner to join our Logistics team at Anwick. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating daily transport movements, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of operations across day 1, day 2, and future planning horizons. You’ll play a key part in delivering a high-performing logistics operation, supporting service levels while optimising fleet and third-party utilisation. This is a dynamic, fast-paced position where you’ll work closely with multiple stakeholders, helping to drive performance and support our ambition of developing a best-in-class logistics function. What You’ll Be Doing Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules across multiple sites Manage live booking and tracking systems to ensure smooth operations Schedule live load collections, inter-site movements, and 3PL transport Balance use of internal fleet and third-party providers for optimal efficiency Monitor and track logistics performance against key KPIs Identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities Support delivery of targets around cost, service, and utilisation Maintain accurate data including collection points, time windows, and restrictions Work closely with internal teams (Agriculture, Factory Planning) Communicate effectively with drivers and external partners Proactively manage issues and provide practical solutions in real time Ensure compliance with H&S, transport legislation, and company standards Support chain of custody and product integrity processes Assist with contingency planning (e.g. adverse weather conditions) Contribute to reporting, dashboards, and operational documentation What We’re Looking For Experience & Skills 2 years’ experience in a transport planning or logistics role (own fleet or 3PL) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment Confident using Excel and planning systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Strong communication and problem-solving skills Desirable Knowledge of driver hours / tachograph regulations Experience with routing and scheduling systems Familiarity with telematics systems (e.g. Microlise) Understanding of transporting agricultural or live products Why Join Us?
