Are you a confident and compassionate individual with a passion for behaviour support and student development?A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Edgbaston is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team in September. This long-term role is ideal for someone experienced in behaviour management and working with KS2 students in an educational setting.
About the Role:
You will be supporting students across Key Stage 2 with behavioural and social needs, including those whose behaviour may be linked to Special Educational Needs such as ADHD. The role will involve 1:1 and small group sessions focusing on reflection, emotional regulation, and behaviour management. You will work closely with class teachers and school staff to track student progress and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group behaviour sessions.
* Supporting students with SEN-related behavioural challenges (e.g., ADHD).
* Assisting in setting clear behavioural targets and monitoring progress.
* Collaborating with class teachers to manage classroom behaviour.
* Monitoring and updating behaviour reports to inform future interventions.
* Helping students reflect on their behaviour and develop positive coping strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
* Relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification.
* Experience working in an educational setting.
* Previous experience in behaviour management.
* Confidence working with students across KS2.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
* Organised, reflective, and able to set meaningful goals with students.
