The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be joining a business that values reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. The engineering team plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency.
This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will work a rotating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm, Monday to Friday, and they need to be flexible to work on call when required.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems including distribution boards, drives, motors, control panels, PLCs, valves, and instrumentation
* Fault find, diagnose, and repair electrical issues quickly and safely to minimise downtime
* Inspect, test, and commission electrical installations in line with regulations
* Install and modify electrical systems, circuits, and control panels
* Record maintenance activities using CMMS and maintain accurate documentation
* Ensure all work is completed in line with Health and Safety regulations, including safe isolation and risk assessments
Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
* Time served Electrical Engineer with Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
* Experience working within medium to heavy engineering environments such as foundry or steelworks
* Good understanding of electrical systems, wiring regulations, and fault finding
* Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
* Experience using electrical testing equipment
* Flexible to work on call when required
Desirable:
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* 2391 Inspection and Testing
* Siemens PLC fault finding or programming
* Control panel building experience
* Electrical installation work (tray, conduit)
* Pneumatics or HV experience

* Salary £40,000 – £50,000 dependent on experience
* On call allowance plus enhanced overtime rates (1.5x and double time on Sundays)
