About The Role
Please note that this is a full-time role working day or night shifts, 38.5 hours per week. Full flexibility is required.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences all aspects of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories. By joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness is paramount.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities, and administering medication. Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be willing to pursue a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is desirable. What’s essential is your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, time management, and kindness in communication.
