Your Role
We are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our 2026 Graduate Programme, based in Leeds. As part of our collaborative design team, you will focus on delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, and hydraulic systems. You will contribute to the design and delivery of complex engineering projects, with particular emphasis on pump hydraulics, valve selection, piping systems, and related equipment. You will gain exposure to the full project life cycle, from front-end engineering design through to detailed design, installation, and construction support.
Our project portfolio spans the UK, with a strong focus on serving United Utilities frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, and hydraulic systems.
* Undertake tasks related to pump hydraulics, valve selection, piping layouts, and associated mechanical equipment.
* Contribute across the full project life cycle: front-end design, detailed design, installation, and construction support.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative, practical engineering solutions.
* Engage with best practices in safety, quality, and sustainability throughout project delivery.
Working Arrangements
* Base location: Leeds.
* Graduates are asked to attend the office 4 days per week to ensure the right level of support and development.
