This role would suit a laboratory operations manager looking to develop with the growth of the business into a longer term, senior opportunity.
The candidate:
* Experience of managing a busy lab environment, ideally another CRO
* Exposure to histology and immunohistochemistry
* Experience of quality management systems, ideally GLP and GCP
* Experience of managing and developing teams
* Able to communicate (in written and verbal form) clearly, confidently and expertly
* Highly motivated, confident, pro-active and able to work independently
* Able to work on site five days per week
* A science graduate with a relevant degree
The role:
* Managing the laboratory facility based in Hereford
* Supporting the Head of Molecular Pathology to manage a team of 20 scientists and technicians
* Ensuring smooth and timely delivery of client projects
* Liaison with Sponsors on technical requirements
* Participation in regulatory and Sponsor QA audits
* Ensuring compliance with GLP and GCP requirements
* Managing all operational requirements of the laboratory (with support from other team members)
