1 WTE Specialist Doctor in Medicine
10 PAs per week. Part‑time applications will also be considered.
£100,870 - £111,441 (Per Annum Pro Rata)
We invite an enthusiastic dynamic individual to join our senior medical team at Lorn & Islands Hospital, Oban, a beautiful location on the west coast of Scotland. This full‑time opportunity is a replacement due to retirement and part‑time options are also available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide broad experience in General Medicine, with senior level exposure and ideally UK training posts.
* Hands‑on medicine, flexible integration with a team, excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
* Accommodate specialist interests to complement existing consultants' specialisms (Care of the elderly, renal, cardiology, acute medicine), involving some outpatient activity.
* Teach undergraduate students, resident doctors and support advanced practice/specialist nurses.
* Work alongside Consultant Physicians, resident doctors, ANPs, and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
* Provide ward‑based medical service at Lorn & Islands Hospital; conduct outpatient clinics in Lochgilphead, Campbeltown and Mull; link to specialist services in Glasgow.
Workplace & Environment
The post allows living and working in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with good schools, a thriving arts scene and only two hours from Glasgow International Airport.
Scheduled on ten programmed activities per week. Flexible working, including less than full time, can be negotiated.
Salary & Working Arrangements
Salary: £100,870 - £111,441 per annum pro rata.
Full‑time (WTE) with possible part‑time options.
