About the Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons, lead small group interventions, and provide targeted support to students with varying needs.
Key Responsibilities of HLTA:
* Lead Learning Activities: Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
* Support Student Progress: Work with individuals and small groups to support academic and personal development.
* Collaborate with Staff: Assist teachers in planning, assessment, and classroom management.
* Promote Inclusion: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Monitor and Report: Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
* Mentor and Guide: Offer support and guidance to less experienced teaching assistants.
Requirements of HLTA:
* Experience: Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a HLTA role.
* Qualifications: HLTA status or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
* Skills: Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment: A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
* Safeguarding: A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.
