Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other materials in a range of building projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse tasks, from roofing and masonry to electrical and plumbing installations, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal applicant will have experience in carpentry and joinery, with a strong focus on precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble bespoke timber components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
* Install structures such as roofing frameworks, flooring, doors, windows, and interior fittings.
* Perform joinery tasks with precision to meet project specifications.
* Assist with construction painting, masonry work, plumbing, electrical installations, and other related trades as required.
* Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate smooth workflow.
* Read technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate construction and installation.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
* Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction trades.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment.
* Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and construction painting is desirable.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or construction trades are preferred but not essential.
