Digital Marketing Manager – Subscriptions, Ecommerce & Audience Growth
A heritage motorsport media brand is evolving for a modern digital audience and is looking for a commercially minded Digital Marketing Manager to lead data‑driven marketing across subscriptions, digital products, ecommerce, events and audience growth.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who blends strong marketing fundamentals with technical understanding, analytical thinking and experience in subscription‑led environments.
You’ll play a key role in how the brand acquires, converts, retains and engages audiences across multiple platforms, while helping optimise the systems, journeys and processes that power the marketing engine.
What you’ll be doing
• Plan, manage and optimise multi‑channel campaigns across subscriptions, ecommerce, events and editorial
• Own customer acquisition, engagement and retention across digital and print subscription products
• Develop and refine lifecycle journeys: onboarding, retention, win‑back and renewal
• Work across email, paid social, organic social, partnerships, landing pages and web campaigns
• Analyse campaign and customer performance to improve conversion, engagement and ROI
• Build dashboards and deliver insight on audience behaviour and commercial impact
• Collaborate with product and development teams to improve journeys, tracking and integrations
• Manage and optimise marketing automation workflows and segmentation
• Support ongoing optimisation of subscription funnels, paywalls, ecommerce journeys and lead gen
• Brief and manage creative, design and external agency support
• Ensure accurate tracking and measurement across all platforms
• Contribute to wider audience growth and digital transformation initiatives
• Stay ahead of publishing, subscription and digital marketing trends
What you’ll bring
• 5+ years in digital marketing, subscriptions or audience growth
• Experience in publishing, media, memberships or subscription‑led businesses
• Strong understanding of acquisition, retention and lifecycle marketing
• CRM/automation experience (Dotdigital, HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar)
• Strong analytical skills with GA4, Looker Studio or similar
• Confidence with data, segmentation, attribution and measurement
• Understanding of how marketing systems, websites, ecommerce and subscription platforms connect
• Experience running integrated campaigns across multiple channels
• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress
• Understanding of ecommerce, subscriptions and recurring revenue models
• Excellent organisation, project management and written communication
