NPI EngineerStourbridge area baseCirca £48,000 plus benefits40-hour week (days)Job role/duties•Employ improvements in safety, efficiency, utilisation and housekeeping•Implement best practice solutions to optimise yield and reduce non-value-added processing or activities •Optimise methods of manufacturing and layout of tooling/ rigging •Upgrade and maintain NPI to ensure all manufacturing data is logged, with finishing instructions and packaging•Track on-time deliveries •Liaise with subcontract tooling engineers and pattern-shops•Liaise with customers, machinists, sub-contract casting processors•Adopt and utilise flow and solidification simulation software•Troubleshoot existing and new parts •Optimise tooling design and cost to achieve the required product performance•Method optimisation•Casting design improvement•Maintain the development of BOM•Collaborate, support and manage a CRM system to track projects and new developments •Assist in Six Sigma implementation To be considered for this role you MUST•Have proven ability to contribute, coordinate and achieve change and drive improvements •Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills•Have experience in the application of quality tools essential to NPI such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans and Process & Quality auditing •Be confident using MS Office This role is UK based and does NOT have sponsorship opportunity Our process is barrier free and we will ensure you are carefully considered for the role you have applied for.
