Learning Support Assistant (SEN) - Farnborough
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a number of special educational needs (SEN) schools in Farnborough and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs in a structured, nurturing educational environment.
Our partner schools in Farnborough specialise in supporting pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including but not limited to:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
* Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
These schools offer inclusive, well-resourced environments where students receive highly individualised support and education to help them thrive.
* Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or within small groups, as directed by the class teacher or SENCO
* Assisting with the delivery of personalised education plans (EHCPs)
* Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Encouraging students' social and emotional development and fostering independence
* Supporting with personal care or mobility needs, where required (depending on the setting)
* Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in SEN or care settings
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable learners
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
* (Desirable) Training in Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach is advantageous but not essential
* Competitive hourly rate of £13.75, paid weekly
* Term-time only (you'll have all school holidays off)
