Limitless is looking for a self driven, motivated team member to take a crucial position in our team.
This is a permanent role with a regular commitment of one day per week (8 hours) throughout the year. From June to August, this increases to two days per week (16 hours). Additionally, the role requires eight full on-site days in early August for Limitless Festival, the organisation's flagship event.
Role Description
Reporting to the Limitless National Director, the Finance Officer will work remotely, at the Elim International Centre (Malvern), and onsite for 8 consecutive days (12 hours/day) at Limitless Festival. You will support the Event and wider Limitless Team by ensuring accurate financial records and providing financial assistance to service users.
Key Responsibilities
· Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records for all income and expenditure transactions.
· Payment Processing: Prepare bank payment runs for authorisation by designated staff members.
· Reporting: Prepare data for monthly management reports and internal audits.
· Bank Transaction Reconciliation: Process and reconcile bank transactions weekly.
· Purchase Ledger: Code, input, and process invoices for approval, managing multiple ledger accounts.
· Inter-Ledger Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations between various ledger accounts.
· Journals: Prepare and process journals for income and expenditure.
· Stakeholder Support: Serve internal and external stakeholders (vendors, customers, team members).
· Digital Income Streams: Oversee donations and ticket sales.
· Expenses: Manage staff and volunteer expense claims promptly.
· Petty Cash: Oversee petty cash systems, reconciling and replenishing regularly.
· Bank Liaison: Work with banks to verify transactions.
· Financial Records Management: Ensure all records (digital and physical) are accurate and organised.
· Event Reconciliation: Assist the Events Production Team with post-event financial reconciliation.
· Mobile Point-of-Sale: Lead on setting up and overseeing mobile POS devices and systems.
Onsite Responsibilities (Limitless Festival)
· Commit to 8 consecutive days onsite, working 12 hours per day (typically early August).
· Set up the finance area, including safes, money counters, and float pouches.
· Prepare and distribute cash floats to retail and café venues, adjusting floats as necessary.
· Count and record returned cash floats; ensure each venue starts the next session with the correct amount.
· Be available during high-demand periods (e.g., first and last days of the event) for cash queries.
· Provide support to merchandise and catering venues for cash handling.
· Count and record financial offerings.
· Lead a team of volunteers supporting finance onsite
· Ensure all point-of-sale devices are working properly, and provide basic training to use these to team leaders.
· Prepare banking deposits; visit a physical bank during the event.
Location: Hybrid
· 1 day per month in Malvern
· 8 days a year onsite at Limitless Festival
· The rest is optional in the office in Malvern or remote working.
Hours: Part time role, distributed as follows:
· Year-round: 8 hours per week, with flexibility in how these hours are distributed, except for one fixed day per month in Malvern. Must be available for a weekly online meeting on Mondays from 9–10am.
· June to August: 16 hours per week, with flexible scheduling, except for the fixed monthly day in Malvern. Must be available for the weekly online meeting on Mondays from 9–10am.
· Early August: 8 full on-site days for Limitless Festival, working 12-hour shifts per day.
Pay: Pro-rata to a £30,000 FTE salary (37.5 hours/week), totalling approximately £9,480 per annum.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential Criteria
· Qualifications: AAT level 4 qualification or equivalent, or working towards this level of qualification.
· Education: Minimum GCSEs (A*–C) in English and Maths or equivalent.
· Professional Development: Evidence of ongoing learning in finance or accounting.
· Experience: Demonstrable background in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting roles.
· Accountancy Software: Proficiency with accountancy software.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to manage financial processes across multiple stakeholders.
Skills & Abilities
· Strong numerical and analytical skills.
· Ability to manage workloads independently and meet deadlines.
· High attention to detail, with a methodical approach.

· A DBS check will be required for any successful applicant.
· Must be able to attend Limitless Festival in full (8 consecutive days, 12 hours daily in August 2026).
Desirable Criteria
· Experience in financial management within an events or charity setting.
· Understanding of financial regulations (IFRS, UK GAAP).
· Familiarity with Sage accounting software.
· Familiarity with Zero accounting software.
· Familiarity with DK accounting software.
· Awareness of Elim's ethos and mission.
· UK driving licence.
