The governors, staff and pupils seek an exceptional, dynamic, Assistant Headteacher to support our recently appointed Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher in running this successful and happy school. The school is based in Penylan, a mixed residential area in the south-east of Cardiff, and serves a culturally and socially diverse urban community. The school is housed in a modern, bespoke, primary school building with extensive grounds, which have been developed into a thriving Forest School and outdoor play areas. Outdoor learning is important to us and every Foundation Phase year group has its own outdoor learning area attached to the classrooms. Howardian is a very popular school and has 425 pupils on roll including an 80 place Nursery. 17% of our pupils are entitled to free school meals and we are committed to equity and inclusivity, ensuring that all our children thrive in the learning environment.
