Nursery Room Early Year's Practitioner
We are seeking an exceptional, qualified childcare professional responsible for the daily management of their room. The role involves caring for children, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment, supervising staff, and sharing knowledge to improve practice. Candidates should be creative, reflective leaders capable of implementing new ideas and strategies to support the management team.
In September 2025, we will open a new Preschool and Nursery at Valentine School, catering to children aged 6 months to 4 years. The setting will have a teacher-in-charge and Nursery lead to facilitate high-quality teaching, learning planning, and team support.

General role functions:
* Support the operation of a nursery room/age group.
* Plan activities in collaboration with the nursery team; monitor children's assessments; address issues; and ensure routines are followed.
* Work closely with the manager and room leader.
* Interact with, supervise, and ensure the safety and happiness of children; support daily nursery operations.
* Manage a key worker group, responsible for children's learning, assessments, and next steps, while supporting all children in the nursery.
* Follow policies and procedures of Mason Moor Primary School, including safeguarding, child protection, health and safety legislation, and Ofsted and National Standards guidelines.
* Work as part of a team, supporting staff and children.
* Share responsibility for safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
