Overview
Join the North Ayrshire Community team based in Stevenston as a Team Leader. This full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week) requires a valid driving licence and access to your own car. The team provides supported living services in Saltcoats, Stevenston, Irvine, Largs and Kilbirnie to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, ongoing mental health issues and dementia. The role involves a mix of office work, home working and shift coverage in the services themselves. On-call duties are allocated on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities
* Coach and mentor your team, providing regular supervision and identifying training needs.
* Produce monthly rotas, considering budgetary requirements and ensuring staff meet contracted hours.
* On-call duties allocated on a rotational basis.
* Work with the Service Manager to liaise with external health professionals and facilitate meetings to create accurate and effective person-centred support plans.
* Match staff to individuals based on specific outcomes and goals for the people we support.
Working patterns
* Generally Monday to Friday, with on-call cover as needed (evenings, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays).
Qualifications
* Minimum of two years' experience supporting individuals within care.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
* Good understanding of SSSC Codes of Practice and Health & Social Care Standards.
* SVQ Level 3 in Social Services & Healthcare or be willing to work towards your qualification.
* Ability to build and maintain positive and professional relationships with supported individuals, families, healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
* Ability to motivate and lead others.
