Job Description
As a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support a pupil's academic, social, and emotional development. You will help the pupil access the curriculum, develop confidence, and engage positively with learning through tailored and consistent support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with special educational needs.
* Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation.
* Implement individual support strategies and interventions.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN professionals.
* Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and well-being are prioritised at all times.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to follow support plans and adapt to pupils' needs.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
