Job Summary
The Deputy Nursery Room Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room in the absence of the Room Leader, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role involves managing staff, engaging with children and parents, and implementing early childhood education practices. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills and a passion for childcare, fostering the development and well-being of each child in their care.
Duties
* Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children and their families.
* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
* Supervise daily activities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt programmes accordingly.
Skills
* Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education environment.
* Strong knowledge of childcare practices and early years development principles.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through engaging activities.
