We're looking for a Cost Intelligence Manager to join our Business Services Directorate. The role involves providing advice and support on commercial issues to enhance National Highways' capability as an informed and intelligent commercial client.
You will support in evaluating and reporting the cost base, cost drivers, and efficiency across capital and revenue programmes. Additionally, you'll interpret cost data, create information and intelligence, and recommend how cost intelligence can improve performance and investment decisions.
The position is hybrid, with a minimum of 40% of the working week in the office.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing and developing the Cost Intelligence Analysts and Senior Intelligence Analysts, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
2. Leading commercial work streams to enhance National Highways' reputation and act as an informed, commercially intelligent client across capital programmes.
3. Supporting the design and implementation of processes and systems for cost capture and reporting, ensuring quality and scrutiny.
4. Interpreting complex commercial data, identifying trends, and drawing conclusions.
5. Supporting the development of end-to-end sub-processes for cost intelligence and reporting opportunities for value improvement.
About you:
* Studying for or holding an appropriate professional qualification or degree.
* Understanding of commercial, financial management, and economic analysis.
* Experience in process and system development with advanced data analysis skills.
* Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Experience delivering commercial outcomes at all business levels.
