Field Sales Consultant - Self‑employed (commission‑only)
SumUp empowers small merchants with smart, user‑friendly financial solutions that grow their business. As a Self‑Employed Field Sales Consultant you will partner with local entrepreneurs to introduce SumUp’s payments and point‑of‑sale products and help them expand.
Responsibilities
* Connect with local business owners—cafés, barbershops, boutiques, salons—and demonstrate how SumUp’s payment systems and point‑of‑sale devices fit their day‑to‑day reality.
* Plan your territory, follow up with interested businesses, and turn “maybe later” conversations into “let’s get started.”
* Demo simple tools, address questions and objections, and build trust so merchants feel confident in their new payment setup.
* Become a familiar face in your community; the more relationships you build, the more your reputation and referrals grow.
Qualifications
* Experience in customer‑facing roles—retail, hospitality, call centres, community work, freelance sales—where you enjoy meeting people face‑to‑face.
* Drive and discipline: you set goals, stay focused, and bounce back stronger when things don’t go your way.
* Curiosity about new products or tech and love learning ways to make your pitch sharper and more effective.
* Relationship builder who knows how to earn trust locally and convert it into loyal customers and lasting opportunities.
* Optional: experience with lead generation, door‑to‑door outreach, or territory sales; if you’ve built a customer base from scratch or grown repeat clients you’re already halfway there.
Benefits
* Earn what you’re worth: 50% of revenue from payments, hardware, and software sales plus 25% recurring income for up to five years.
* Start strong: 75% of SumUp’s net revenue in your first year, setting you up for quick wins and solid income from day one.
* Build your future income: monthly revenue share and long‑term clients keep your hard work paying off—even months or years later.
* Learn, grow, and master your craft with hands‑on training, product coaching, and proven sales strategies.
* Ongoing support from a dedicated Territory Manager and a community of peers who share ideas and celebrate wins together.
Recruitment Journey
* Introductory pre‑selection with our Talent Acquisition Partner.
* Conversation with a Territory Manager to explore mutual fit and territory goals.
* We value potential—if you bring the 4Cs (listening, questioning, consistency, connection), we’ll help you grow.
We encourage applicants who are passionate about supporting local businesses and ready to learn—even if you don’t tick every box. Your mindset and drive matter most to us.
