Shifts: Monday to Friday, 5:00pm - 5:00am (12-hour night shifts)

The Best Connection Eastbourne is recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers to join a trusted logistics partner in the Robertsbridge area. This is a great opportunity offering stability, consistent hours, and long-term potential within a busy and professional operation.
Full site induction will be provided for successful candidates.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
* Safely manoeuvring HGV vehicles and trailers around the yard and loading bays
* Positioning trailers accurately to support efficient loading and unloading
* Carrying out routine vehicle and trailer checks
* Communicating with warehouse and loading teams to coordinate trailer movements
* Ensuring all movements follow site safety procedures and traffic management plans
* Recording trailer movements using relevant systems or paperwork
* Reporting any vehicle or trailer defects promptly
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard environment
Duties may vary depending on operational requirements.
Requirements
* Valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence and CPC
* Previous Class 1 driving or shunting experience required
* Good understanding of health & safety and site movement procedures
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work efficiently during busy night operations
* Reliable and professional attitude
