Year 6 Teaching Assistant (Level 2) – Full Time (September Start)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team from September, supporting pupils in Year 6 at a reputable mainstream primary school based in central Preston. The school has an excellent reputation within the local community and is known for its supportive and welcoming environment.
Position Details:
Start Date: September
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:15pm (30-minute unpaid break)
Contract: Full academic year
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Requirements:
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Proven experience working with Key Stage 2 (KS2) pupils
Minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in both Maths and English
Ability to commit to a full-time schedule
Role Responsibilities:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons
Assisting with pupil learning, particularly in Year 6
Providing targeted support to individuals or small groups
Helping to prepare classroom materials and maintain a positive learning environment
