R0249580 - Product Safety & Reliability Engineer
Locations: Glasgow & Reading
Key Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this role is to communicate safety concerns to the Safety Authority and provide reliability analysis to support product safety and supportability engineering.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Generate reliability artefacts like Availability, Reliability & Maintainability Plans, Reliability predictions, Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams, and Reliability Growth Analysis to support safety and supportability claims.
2. Support reliability analysis for new products and identify areas needing reliability growth.
3. Serve as the point of contact for reliability queries.
4. Create safety artefacts such as Safety & Environmental Management Plans, Hazard Logs, and Safety & Environmental Case Reports.
5. Facilitate hazard and risk identification, including functional failure analysis, FMEA, and fault/event tree analysis.
6. Develop product safety and reliability requirements.
7. Assist Project Design Authorities in complying with applicable legislation, regulations, and standards.
8. Help generate reasonable bid estimates.
9. Peer review safety and reliability artefacts produced by team members.
10. Manage multiple safety and reliability programmes, including scheduling and stakeholder interactions.
Skills:
* Experience in Product and System Safety and/or Reliability Engineering activities is highly desirable.
* Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders, team members, and customers.
* Attention to detail.
* Willingness to share knowledge, develop others, and learn.
