Overview: - Fixed term contract beginning Sept / Oct until the end of March working on a 20 hours basis as minimum with the opportunity for continous employment.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to our customers. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Duties:
* Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations
* Load and unload goods from the vehicle
* Follow delivery schedules and routes provided
* Ensure all deliveries are completed on time
* Verify the accuracy of delivery orders before departure
* Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner
* Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the supervisor
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
* Use an app on phone for all scheduled deliveries
Experience:
* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
* Ability to drive tall long wheel base vans
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to lift bulky boxes and perform physical tasks as required
Interview process with be in 2 parts. Formal interview leading to driving assessment on completion of successful interview.
