Job Summary
BrisDoc Healthcare Services is looking for a salaried General Practitioner to join Broadmead Medical Centre – a city‑centre GP practice serving a richly diverse community in Bristol. Responsibilities
* Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions for patients of all ages.
* Plan preventive care through routine check‑ups, screenings and immunisations.
* Educate patients on healthy lifestyles, nutrition, exercise and disease prevention.
* Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma in collaboration with LTC nurses.
* Refer patients to specialists and coordinate care among multiple health‑care providers.
* Prescribe medications, interpret test results and provide evidence‑based advice.
* Provide initial assessment and stabilisation for urgent medical emergencies.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date electronic medical records.
* Take on additional responsibilities in agreed clinical areas to support quality improvement and enhanced services.
* Attend regular practice meetings, mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
Essential Qualifications and Training
* Full registration with the GMC.
* Fully trained GP with a JCTGP vocational training certificate.
* Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent).
Desirable Qualifications and Training
* Higher postgraduate membership (e.g., MRCGP/nMRCGP, MRCP, DRCOG, DCH).
* Experience delivering QOF and working in primary care settings.
* RCGP part 1 qualification or experience in substance use.
* Desire to work with hard‑to‑reach or marginalised groups.
* Experience with team‑based primary care models and EMIS use.
* GP trainer, clinical supervision or mentoring certificate.
* Experience with clinical triage models such as Accurx.
Essential Skills & Attributes

* Effective patient communication, history taking and guidance.
* Strong knowledge of current clinical guidelines and evidence‑based practice.
* Computer literacy, keyboard proficiency and system navigation.
