Reporting into the Global Head of M&A, who reports into the CFO, you will be part of a team of c. 8-9 professionals with a diverse set of backgrounds, collaborating to deliver business partnering to enable the business to deliver on partnerships, joint ventures, divestments, and acquisitions. This mandate is aligned to strategic initiatives and portfolio choices as part of a multi-year transformation.

Description
* Execution and project management - managing a project/deal team, coordinating activities, driving due diligence review and risk mitigation, delivering and support recommendations, and negotiating deal documents
* Planning, managing and executing M&A integration and separation activities, including for joint ventures
* Relationship management and origination - interacting with external parties (corporates, banks, consultants, PE funds/investors) with a market-facing mindset
* Internal stakeholder management - influencing, advocating and presenting to senior level audiences within the organisation
* Coaching and delegating - experience managing junior resources (and internal execution specialists) to deliver analysis and presentations; oversight, guidance and development
Profile
* Significant direct M&A experience in principal investing (corporate development or private equity), investment banking, or transaction services (experienced gained in Consultancy environment will be considered)
* Experience in and understanding of financial markets, financial modelling, valuation; basic knowledge of accounting
* Global mindset: experience working in, key global M&A markets - London, New York, DC, Paris, Singapore, etc.
* Expertise in aerospace, defence, energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
* Strategic mindset and experience executing on strategic initiatives in partnership with business and functional partners
