Academics is urgently recruiting for a Mid-Day Supervisor to work in a special educational needs (SEN) school based in Birkenhead, Wirral. This is a temporary position, ideal for someone looking to gain experience in education or take the next step in their support career.
📅 Working hours: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
This role offers part-time hours during the middle of the day - perfect for those with other commitments or looking to return to the workplace.
Your Role as a Mid-Day Supervisor:
As a Mid-Day Supervisor, you'll support students during their lunchtime, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive social interaction. You'll be working alongside dedicated staff in a nurturing SEN environment, helping create a structured, caring lunchtime routine.
We're looking for someone who:
Enjoys working with children and young people
Is confident in building relationships with pupils and staff
Has a calm, patient, and understanding approach - particularly important in an SEN setting
Has a good understanding of safeguarding practices
Is reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player
