Location: Coventry
Employment Status: Part time, permanent
Working Hours: 20 hours per week, all year round (Alternating weekly: Week 1 - 6.00am-10.00am; Week 2 - 2.00pm-6.00pm)
Actual Salary: £13,613 - £14,271 pro rata per annum
Full time equivalent salary: Support Staff Pay Scale Grade 3 – FTE £25,185 - £26,403

About the role
We are seeking to appoint a reliable, professional, and practical individual. The successful candidate will support our school in providing a safe, effective, and efficient learning environment. Assistant Site Services Officer responsibilities will include opening and closing the premises, basic maintenance and repairs, waste management, porterage, emergency call-outs and health and safety checks. Duties will also include ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and security is maintained to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the school premises.
Responsibilities
* Open and close the premises; respond to emergency call-outs as required.
* Perform basic maintenance and repairs; assist with general tasks not requiring skilled trades (e.g., basic electrics, building, plastering, plumbing, gardening, carpentry and glazing).
* Manage waste and porterage duties; ensure cleanliness and security of the premises.
* Conduct health and safety checks; promote a safe learning environment.
* Cooperate with safeguarding practices; ensure safeguarding and child protection training as directed.
We are looking for someone who
* Is approachable and friendly and can communicate effectively.
* Has general knowledge of COSHH, Working at Height, Electricity at Work, and Manual Handling regulations.
* Has a full, clean driving licence.
