To succeed in this role, you should have relevant experience such as geo-environmental site investigations, assessments, and reporting. An appropriate degree in geology, geography, or an environmental subject is required. The role involves site visits and work, with a full clean driving license necessary.

Your new role

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant based in Edinburgh, you will be part of our Site Solutions team, dedicated to Contaminated Land. Your responsibilities will include managing environmental assessments, supervising investigations and monitoring, conducting site inspections, and remediation supervision. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic team of experts.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

* Phase 1 environmental site assessments.
* Conducting site visits.
* Soil/rock logging and environmental monitoring.
* Supporting Phase 2 investigations.
* Interpreting soil and groundwater data.
* Preparing reports.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various sectors.
* Contributing to Ramboll’s sustainability commitments.

For the senior role, additional responsibilities include:

* Supporting and developing client relationships.
* Managing projects from start to finish.
* Mentoring early career team members.
* Site supervision, including characterization and remediation.

Your skills and experience

Required qualifications and skills include:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, geography, hydrogeology, or environmental science.
* Full clean driving license.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* Numerical competence.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Report writing skills.

For senior roles, experience in client management, project leadership, and mentoring is preferred.

Personal qualities include a focus on safety, collaboration, and building trusted relationships.
